About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed? Has it all become too much? Anxiety can arrive like a bolt out of the blue and leave you feeling out of control, helpless, fearful,  sad, and angry. Are you fed up with finding yourself back in the same place, time and time again? It takes courage to reach out; it can be the best thing you can do for yourself, sharing your worries.I have experience supporting clients who experience anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress, burnout, trauma-related issues, panic attacks, and low self-esteem. Anxiety and depression can leave us feeling scared, helpless, disconnected, or not good enough. We can feel isolated from friends and family, and this adds to how we feel.

Carving out time for yourself to reflect deeply and understand yourself, learning to see your difficulties as something to work with rather than against, making life feel more manageable and meaningful.I believe therapy is not about fixing you, because you are not broken. It's a time for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace, helping you feel more in control of your life and relationships.

Benefits of Counselling
Counselling can help you to:

  • Better understand your difficulties and learn to work with them rather than against them.
  • Have more meaningful connections with friends, family, and partners.
  • Spend less time ruminating and more time fully engaging in life.
  • Feel calmer, more confident, and develop greater curiosity towards difficult thoughts, feelings, and beliefs.
  • Process unresolved experiences and begin to let go of what may be holding you back.
  • Develop a kinder and more compassionate relationship with yourself
  • Explore feelings of frustration, stuckness, or uncertainty, and find ways to move forward.
  • Understand why you feel the way you do, uncover patterns from the past, and integrate these experiences into the present with greater awareness.

  • Make decisions that feel more aligned with your values, needs, and goals.

  • Find your voice, express your needs, and strengthen your sense of self.

How I work

I work using a relational integrative approach, focusing on how we relate to ourselves and how we connect with others. Looking at thinking patterns that are no longer helpful and finding ways to change these patterns to live a more fulfilled life. My work draws from different therapeutic approaches, including person-centred and psychodynamic theories.

I believe in the importance of mindful awareness and creating space to notice how we think, feel, and experience ourselves in the present moment. I also value the wisdom of the body and how paying attention to bodily sensations can support the processing of difficult emotions and experiences.

Every person is unique, and I will work alongside your individual needs and goals. I welcome difference, diversity, and aim to offer a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space.

First Session
Our first session is an opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy and what support you are looking for. I will also complete a brief assessment/questionnaire to gain a clearer understanding of your presenting difficulties and how we might work together.

I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces for those on a low income, as well as a free 20-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an experienced and qualified integrative counsellor with a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (cpcab). I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and work within their ethical framework.

British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists – Certificate of Proficiency.

Together with my private practice, I have worked in a low-cost counselling agency supporting clients in a range or issues, from anxiety, depression, self-worth, relationship issues, burnout, and childhood trauma.  I’m committed to ongoing professional development to maintain my skills and knowledge.  I have a particular interest which stems from my own personal experience on trauma work, and I have been doing some training and will continue this.
I had various career paths and my search for understanding of myself led me to train as a counsellor which I feel very passionate about. I would love to accompany you on this journey.

I currently work in private practice in Richmond and Clapham and have experience in supporting people with Anxiety, stress, burnout, loss of meaning in life, relationship and family issues, grief and depression.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
