About me
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to hold on your own. You might be struggling with anxiety, low mood, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, or finding yourself caught in patterns that keep repeating. You may feel disconnected from yourself, or carry quieter struggles that are difficult to put into words but still have a deep impact on your life.
Wherever you are right now, that is where we can begin.
Welcome, I’m Suzie.
I’m a qualified BSc (Hons) Integrative Counsellor offering trauma-informed counselling for adults. I believe counselling isn’t about someone else having all the answers. It’s about having a safe, supportive relationship where you can explore your experiences without judgement, better understand yourself, and discover what feels right for you.
I’ve always been fascinated by human development and by how our early experiences shape the way we relate to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us. This curiosity, together with a genuine belief in people’s capacity for growth, is what led me to counselling.
Being an integrative counsellor means we are not limited to one way of working. Instead, I draw from different therapeutic approaches so we can find what feels most supportive and meaningful for you. My work is particularly informed by an understanding of early relationships, trauma, attachment, and the nervous system.
Alongside talking, we may also include gentle body awareness, grounding, breathwork, and creative approaches where they feel helpful. These can support emotional regulation, a greater sense of safety, and reconnection with yourself, particularly when experiences feel overwhelming or difficult to express with words alone.
While counselling can involve exploring difficult experiences, I also believe there is space for lightness, reflection, creativity, and moments of relief within the process. These moments can be important in helping us reconnect and remember we are human.
I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, loss, identity, childhood trauma, and emotional overwhelm, as well as the quieter struggles that can be difficult to name but still deeply affect everyday life.
If something here speaks to you, I’d be pleased to arrange a free initial conversation so we can explore what has brought you to counselling and whether working together feels like the right fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
BSc (Hons) Degree and Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling from Matrix College, Wymondham.
My work is also informed by introductory training in ‘Somatic Experiencing’ an approach developed by Peter Levine that explores how trauma can be held within the body.
Currently undertaking CPCAB L3 Breathwork Training.
Alongside my counselling training, I have also explored more holistic approaches to wellbeing, including a Diploma in Colour Therapy and Numerology, and Level 2 Reiki training. This reflects my wider interest in the connection between emotional, physical, and energetic wellbeing.
I have Volunteer experience working at a local low-cost counselling charity in Norwich and Norfolk and Waveney Mind.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Starting counselling can feel like a big step, and it’s normal to feel uncertain. In our first session, we’ll begin with introductions and take some time to set the scene for our working relationship. We’ll talk through boundaries and how sessions work, and then focus on what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to achieve.
The first session is also a chance for you to see if you feel safe and comfortable working with me, and for me to ensure that I can provide the support you need. There is no long-term contract, and we’ll review progress together as we go, so the process stays flexible and focused on your goals.
Counselling is a collaborative journey, and I will work with you at a pace that feels right, creating a space where you can feel heard, respected, and supported.
