About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck? Do relationships feel difficult to navigate, or are you struggling to cope? Sometimes, we may not even understand why we feel the way we do. Feelings of loss, anger, shame, guilt, or low self-esteem can significantly affect our wellbeing. Managing these feelings alone can be challenging, and reaching out for help takes courage. Speaking with someone outside your situation offers a unique opportunity to feel truly heard and understood, gaining an impartial perspective.

I provide a safe, confidential space where we can build a genuine, trusting relationship and explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement.

Together, we can clarify your thinking and identify patterns of behaviour and thought to understand how your difficulties may have been shaped by past experiences and how they are affecting your present life. This process can help you foster self-worth, gain lasting insight, and uncover what might be holding you back from creating positive change.

We will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, exploring your experiences and unique story collaboratively.

I offer a free 20-30 minute initial phone consultation. It’s an opportunity for you to tell me about yourself, ask any questions, discuss why you are seeking help and find out about the way I work. If you decide I am a good fit and we can work together, we will agree to regular weekly sessions at a time that suits you.

I run my private practice from a safe, comfortable, and professional setting in Felpham, Bognor Regis, offering both daytime and evening sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified and experienced British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Registered counsellor. Within my practice, I adhere to their Ethical Framework and Standards, and I undertake regular clinical supervision and continuous professional development to ensure I provide the best possible service for my clients.

Until recently, I was a Senior Volunteer Counsellor for a local counselling service, and I am currently a Volunteer Counsellor with a mental health charity for young people.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
