About me
People begin psychotherapy for many deeply personal reasons.
Therapy is a way to look at your life from a new perspective, helping you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, improve relationships, and find healthier ways to cope with life’s challenges.
I work with clients in a collaboratively created space which means I place great importance on the connection we build together throughout the therapeutic process. We will work together to safely identify and explore the unique concerns and challenges you may have, so they can be fully understood helping you develop deeper self-awareness and understanding. This newfound clarity can help you feel less burdened and present you with the prospect of new possibilities.
Drawing on a range of therapeutic perspectives, I tailor my work to meet your individual needs and goals. Whether our focus is on understanding the impact of past experiences, navigating present-day difficulties, or both, we will work in a way that feels manageable, meaningful, and responsive to you.
Before retraining as a Humanistic Counsellor I worked in the Arts for 30 years. This has given me a rich, varied and inclusive perspective of life and an understanding of every persons individual needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor registered with the NCPS. I provide counselling both online and face to face. I offer a free 20 -minute initial telephone or zoom consultation with no obligation – this will be a chance to talk through what brings you to therapy and see whether it feels right for us to work together. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to turn, you're not alone. Life can be challenging, and sometimes we all need a space to pause and make sense of what we’re going through, without judgment or pressure.
I offer a calm, confidential environment where you can talk freely about whatever’s on your mind and together we can reflect on the challenges you bring and identify possibilities for change.
