Training, qualifications & experience

I have over 20 years experience working in private practice, the NHS, the charitable sector and further education.

I came to counselling & psychotherapy after an initial career in nursing and social work which then inspired me to train as a counsellor, psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. As a senior manager I have led teams of therapists in both adult and children’s hospices for many years, worked for 7 years as a GP surgery-based counsellor in Primary Care alongside my private practice. In addition to this I have for many years developed and delivered training courses for counsellors, volunteers and health care professionals.
