About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed or stuck? I can help. I offer a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings without the fear of judgement. Feeling heard and listened to can unlock new horizons and pathways.
With a level 5 diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling practice, I bring a pluralistic approach to our sessions. This means you, as the client, can steer our discussions. We work together to delve into your thoughts and feelings. By combining a person-centred approach with a psychodynamic modality, we can comprehensively understand you, including how your past shapes your present. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy provides tools and strategies to challenge and change your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
My approach is not about me telling you what to do but about us working together. I offer this collaborative approach to both adults and young people. I understand that reaching out for help or acknowledging something is wrong can be daunting. But you don't have to face your feelings and thoughts alone. Collaborative therapy can empower you to regain control and better understand your emotions and thoughts.
I can offer short and long-term therapy face-to-face in Burford or online. If you think it is the right time for you to explore your feelings, I offer an initial telephone or online consultation to see how it feels and for you to ask questions.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Practice
- BEd (hons) Primary
- MSc Psychology
I have worked with young people in education and understand the value of enabling them to share their stories and have an opportunity to talk and be listened to in a safe space. This safety helps them test their thoughts and express their anxieties without fear of letting their loved ones down or not pleasing them.
Alongside my private practice, I volunteer for Cruse as a bereavement volunteer, working with bereavement and grief. I understand that everyone's grief is different and unique. Therapy allows clients to experience and express their grief in a safe space tailored to their individual needs and at their own pace.
