About me

Hi my name is Sue, I am a person centred counsellor with over 14 years experience working in the NHS. I have had the privilege of working with many clients experiencing a wide range of difficulties and issues. I understand that life can be tough and at times feel overwhelming, It can be difficult to cope and make sense of things on your own. You may also have a tendency to move in to self-doubt or negative self comparisons which can keep you stuck and unable to move forward.

To get the most from counselling it’s important that you feel safe and understood by the person you choose to speak to and I know finding a counsellor that feels right for you can be daunting. I offer a free 15 minute phone call so you can get a feel of what it would be like to work with me, there will be no pressure to make a decision during the call. If you do decide to work with me I will offer you a calm, safe, confidential space free of judgement, where I will support you to fully explore your concerns.

If you are interested in working with me and would like a free 15 minute call please message me or call me on 07543 445 089 Or if you prefer you can email me.

I work with adults over 18.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
