About me
Are you stuck in a rut? Or maybe you’re feeling depressed, anxious or trying to process loss or trauma in your life? If so, then you’re not alone, and counselling can be very helpful in navigating this difficult time in your life.
For some people counselling is having a safe place to offload their concerns and worries, whilst for others it might be an opportunity to explore deeper-rooted issues affecting their daily lives. With my 30 years experience in healthcare I work with my clients to find the best ways to help them overcome their problems so they can live the life they want to. I offer an introductory free of charge 30 min online session to determine how I can best help you. Below are some quotes from clients I have worked with
“Thank you for all the help you’ve given me and my family Steve. The counselling sessions have done more for me than you can imagine” RG
“Steve, thank you so much for all your help and support in my counselling sessions with you. You have literally turned my life around when I thought all hope was lost” AS
“I was sceptical about counselling at first, having had several unsuccessful attempts at it in the past, but my sessions with you have made me realise the value of having an experienced, non judgemental counsellor who was willing to listen to me and help me process my childhood trauma. Thank you so much Steve, for all your support and patience.” DT

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
