About me
Some people who contact me feel stuck. They may be dealing with anxiety, low mood, sleep difficulties, relationship strain, or stress linked to work, health, driving, or finances.
Others quietly carry a sense that they’re “not good enough”, or that they’re not coping as well as they should be.
You might want to be seen, heard and understood in a way that feels safe and non-judgemental, while you explore what’s happening across your thoughts, body, and life circumstances, or you may want support to navigate meaningful change.
In addition to reflective conversation, I’m open to working in ways that feel most natural to you. This might include writing, drawing, role play, or simple grounding exercises where helpful. Together we choose approaches that support awareness and meaningful change, while keeping the work purposeful and contained.
Reaching out for therapy can feel uncertain, especially if you’ve been carrying things on your own for a long time. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan. If you’re curious about exploring things gently and at your own pace, you’re welcome to reach out and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). My training is integrative, drawing on humanistic, relational, psychodynamic, cognitive, and existential approaches.
I have experience working with adults around anxiety, stress, shame, trauma-related difficulties, and long-standing emotional patterns.
I engage in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision and work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework and offer counselling within the limits of my competence. I am happy to discuss whether working together feels like a good fit, and where appropriate, I will support signposting to alternative or additional services.
Therapy is collaborative and paced with care, with no expectation to share anything before you feel ready.
