About me
Hello, I'm Steve and welcome to my profile. I am an experienced therapist and I offer online therapy sessions.
Life can be tough, and whilst support from family and friends can be valuable, sometimes it's good to have a little extra help to get to where we want to be in life.
You may be struggling with difficulties like anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or, like so many people who consider meeting with a therapist, you may not know the reason, and just have the sense of things not being right in your life. Whatever brings you here, I will support you to create the lasting changes you want.
It is important that you find a therapist that you feel you can work with and trust. I offer a safe, relaxed, non-judgemental, confidential space which will support you to explore the issues you are facing. My training as an integrative therapist, allows me to tailor our time together uniquely to you and your needs.
If this sounds like what you are looking for then please get in touch to book a call and we can begin to discover together how you can move forward.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy. I have over 25 years’ experience of working as a mental health professional, with just over 20 years of this time spent working on behalf of the National Health Service (NHS).
Originally trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) I have gone on to train in several therapeutic approaches including mindfulness. Personal and professional experiences have taught me the central importance of relationships past and present, and it is this insight that particularly guides my practice.
I have a particular interest in working with low confidence/self-esteem and developmental trauma. In addition to my work with individuals, I have extensive experience of working in groups.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
