About me
Hello and Welcome. I’m Stephanie, a Person-Centred Psychotherapist based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
I work with individuals and couples who are looking to take greater ownership of their mental health, happiness and relationships. I am especially drawn to those of you wanting to feel more connected; to those around you and to your own thoughts, feelings and needs. My practice is rooted in the belief that when we truly understand ourselves, we begin to relate differently to the world.
At the heart of my work is person-centred therapy; a compassionate, non-judgemental space where you are met with empathy, presence and genuine curiosity. I don’t believe in ‘fixing’ you. Instead, I trust in your capacity to grow when given the space to explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences.
You might be coming to therapy feeling anxious, depressed, low, or disconnected from yourself, from others, or from the life you want to be living. You may be navigating tough life experiences and need some support making sense of what feels messy or unexplored. We can work together to help you re-centre your thoughts, process your experiences and develop a better understanding of yourself and your emotional landscape.
Perhaps you notice yourself repeating familiar relational patterns, feeling unseen or unheard, unsure of how to set boundaries or emotionally shutting down when things feel too much. Therapy offers you the space to develop not only insight, but a stronger more confident connection to your own voice; learning how to express your thoughts and emotions in ways that feel grounded, healthy and true to you.
For couples, I offer a space to slow conversations down and truly listen, to yourselves and to each other. Together we work towards emotional attunement, clearer communication, and a deeper understanding of one another’s inner worlds.
I work with adults (18+) of all backgrounds and identities, offering both short- and long-term therapy depending on your needs. I provide face-to-face sessions at The Practice Rooms in Broomhill, as well as online sessions.
If you feel ready to begin reconnecting with yourself and exploring what may be holding you back, I warmly invite you to get in touch.
I look forward to working alongside you.

Introductory sessions give us an opportunity to get to know each other a little before starting to potentially work together. You can use this time to ask any questions you may have and hopefully this can make the move to therapy sessions a little easier, especially if you are unsure of what to expect. It's important to feel comfortable with your therapist, our relationship is one of the most important aspects of our therapy sessions. There's no pressure, if it doesn't feel 'right', there's no explanation necessary.
