About me
I am a UKCP-registered psychotherapist and Certified Relational Life Therapy (RLT) couples therapist based in central Bath. I offer regular couples therapy and private two- and three-day Couples Intensives at my practice on Gay Street in Bath.
I work with couples experiencing repeated arguments, emotional distance, damaged trust or difficulty talking without becoming defensive or withdrawing. My approach is active and compassionate. Rather than simply discussing an argument after it has happened, we pay attention to what happens between you in the room. I help you slow the interaction down, understand each person’s part in the pattern and practise different ways of responding.
If you are considering an Intensive, we first arrange a consultation to explore what you need and whether this format is appropriate for your relationship. You are welcome to contact me if you are unsure whether regular sessions or an Intensive would be the better starting point.
Training, qualifications & experience
With over 16 years of hands-on experience in psychotherapy, my approach is integrative and humanistic at its core. This allows me to pull from a diverse set of therapeutic techniques and skills, ensuring that the therapy you receive is meticulously tailored to meet your unique requirements. As a practitioner certified in Relational Life Therapy (RLT) and accredited by the UKCP, my specialisation lies in RLT, a groundbreaking method for couples therapy pioneered by Terry Real.
As a dedicated psychotherapist, I deeply value the importance of ongoing learning and professional growth. To ensure that I provide the best care for my clients, I consistently attend regular supervision sessions with experienced professionals. This allows me to reflect upon, evaluate, and enhance my therapeutic approaches. Furthermore, I am committed to engaging in continual professional development. This means that I actively pursue additional training, workshops and courses to stay updated with the most recent evidence-based practices in psychotherapy.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Couples Intensives are private, in-person sessions over two or three days in central Bath, usually arranged across a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Each day includes approximately six hours of therapeutic work, with breaks for lunch and reflection. The Intensive is not residential; accommodation and meals are arranged separately if you are travelling to Bath.
Before confirming a booking, I meet with you to discuss what is happening in your relationship and assess whether an Intensive is appropriate. I also gather intake information from each partner separately. Follow-up integration sessions can be arranged afterwards.
To enquire, please mention “Couples Intensive” in your message, or visit the Couples Intensives page on my website for the full format and current dates.
