About me

Do you feel out of balance? As if something is not quite right and you're not sure why? Or perhaps you already know what is going on for you and you would just like the space to be able to talk this through and find some new ways of coping? It's certainly not uncommon to feel this way and a safe therapeutic space could be what you need just now.

Whether you're dealing with immediate challenges, or want to speak about patterns or learned behaviours from your childhood - we can work together to bring about positive change and develop effective coping mechanisms. Enhanced self awareness can pave the way for personal growth.

I work in an integrative style, utilising CBT tools where useful alongside other therapy modalities. I believe you are the expert on yourself and ensure my work is client led. I can provide a safe space for you, free from judgement in which we will work at your pace, in a style that best suits you.

Alongside this work I am also a Clinical Sexologist and Intimate partner therapist. I support individuals, couples and intimate partners in navigating the emotional, relational and sexual aspects of their lives. My focus is on creating a safe and shame-free environment where you can explore concerns, challenges and curiosities around intimacy, desire, communication and connection.

If you are facing difficulties, seeking to strengthen your relationship or simply wanting space to understand yourself more deeply, I'm here to help.

Even taking this first step to find a therapist can be a challenge in itself, thank you for considering me. I know how important a good relationship with your therapist is so please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like a brief introductory chat, you can also visit my website. There is no 'tie-in' commitment or a minimum number of sessions you have to sign up for, and we can discuss what support might look like on your terms.

Next Steps

If you are interested in working together I offer a free 15 minute consultation in order to see if we would be a good fit to work together. You can email me through my directory profile to get in touch.

Please note my working days are Monday-Thursday. I will get back to your inquiry as soon as I can.

What happens in the 15 minute consultation?

We will have a chat about what kinds of things you would like to discuss in the therapy space. I will explain about how I work and I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the process. If for any reason I feel I could not offer you the support you're looking for I will be clear about this and recommend another service or practitioner where possible. Please note I will do my best to ensure that I am a good fit to work with you, but in the event that anything arises during therapy that I believe falls outside of my professional expertise, I will help to find support from someone who I believe is better suited to your specific needs.

PLEASE NOTE: I offer a limited number of in person slots in Leith, Edinburgh on a Wednesday only. Unfortunately the room is upstairs and there is no lift in this building - I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

I do not have in person availability anywhere else. Online and Telephone sessions available throughout the week.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist working with an integrative approach. Since qualifying, I have worked for Employee Assistance Programmes providing therapy, as well as setting up in private practice.

I have worked in a transition house with survivors of domestic abuse, and have a special interest in working with issues surrounding self esteem, anxiety and women's issues.

I am also a Clinical Sexologist (psychosexual therapist), couples therapist and intimate partner therapist. I can help you navigate worries, concerns and curiosities around your sex life and relationships.

My aim

My aim is to create a space catered entirely to what works for you, using an integrative approach during sessions. I welcome feedback to ensure we're working in a way that best suits you. I will provide a safe space of empathy and non-judgement and I will also gently challenge you to ensure you're getting the most out of our time together.
