About me

During the Covid19 pandemic, I continue to work with clients. This time is an uncertain time for us all, and it may have brought up some issues that you would like to work with especially around loss, grief, control and social anxiety. I am offering online (through Zoom) and telephone counselling. I offer a free 20 min consulation to see if you would like to work with me.

Whether you're having difficulties at work, have anxiety or depression, are feeling sad, had a major life event, have experienced a loss, have changes going on or just need to make sense of the current situation, I can offer a safe space to do this.

Counselling offers somewhere to be yourself outside of your regular life, to connect to what is going on for you emotionally.

I provide a warm, confidential and welcoming space for you to look at the issues you need to bring and support you to work out your thoughts and your feelings. My role is to build a relationship where you can fully be accepted, feel safe, explore your feelings and be heard. See what others think of me

As a qualified integrative counsellor I offer long and short term counselling and use many methods and processes to work with you to look at what you want to look at - the work is led by your needs but with my support.

Although I can work with anything you bring, I specialise in trauma counselling. This will support you to find a way to minimise trauma symptoms such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, panic attacks and help build resilience and resources for you to help you feel more safe in the world.

I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation to see if I'm right for you and to see how we can work together.

Even if my skills don't match your needs, or I don't have the time slot you're looking for, I should be able to signpost you to other professional counsellors or agencies who meet your needs as I know how hard it can be to find the right person. Do get in touch, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

Wheelchair user access

There are steep stairs in the Harbourside Pratice. Both entering the building and going up to the room.

I have some availability for weekly and fortnightly slots. Please do contact me if you would like to have a chat about how I can support you at this time.
