About me
Counselling offers somewhere to be yourself outside of your regular life, to connect to what is going on for you emotionally.
I am not a therapist who will just sit back and let you talk with no input from me. I am curious about the way you see the world and will offer questions, comments and reflections to help you understand yourself better. As a trauma informed therapist, I am also keen to help you support your nervous system and help you find ways to feel calm and relaxed.
I provide a warm, confidential and welcoming space for you to look at the issues you need to bring and support you to work out your thoughts and your feelings. My role is to build a relationship where you can fully be accepted, feel safe, explore your feelings and be heard. See what others think of me
Whether you're having difficulties at work, have anxiety or depression, are feeling sad, had a major life event, have experienced a loss, have changes going on or just need to make sense of the current situation, I can offer a safe space to do this.
As a qualified integrative, accredited counsellor I offer long and short term counselling and use many methods and processes to work with you to look at what you want to look at - the work is led by your needs but with my support.
I have lived experience of cancer, and am a survivor of childhood sexual violence. I'm an ally to all under-represented communities and aim to work in an anti oppressive way. I work with a lot of neurodiverse clients who have trauma also.
I also enjoy working with the inner child to support an understanding of what we needed at different ages and stages of life. This gives you an opportunity to re-parent yourself.
I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation to see if I'm right for you and to see how we can work together.
I offer Zoom, phone and face to face counselling. Do get in touch, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
