How do I work?
My approach is based on Integrative, which means I am trained to use the Psychodynamics approach, Cognitive behavioural Approach, Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy, Humanistic Approach, Existential-Phenomenological Approach and Multi-Model Approach in my practice. I am trained to use different exercises such as relaxation techniques, Guided imagery, fraction relaxation techniques and progressive muscle relaxation techniques. I choose my approach based on your needs and expectations from Counselling & Psychotherapy.
In my personal qualities, I am genuine, empathetic, non-judgemental, unconditional positive regards and respect towards my clients. I do not see you based on your characteristics and not on your age, race, ethnicity, religion etc.
I offer intensive counselling. It means that you are not in a good mood, or having stress or feeling low for a short time, and want that someone to listen to you without judging you and need someone to stay with you at the particular moment instead of seeking counselling for a short or long term. It means you have one intense session either by phone or face to face. The length of an intensive session varies according to your need but would not exceed 90 minutes. With Intensive counselling, you are not bound to time. Intensive counselling is more suitable for people who are depressed, feeling low, especially at night or at weekends, bank holidays. Intensive counselling does not include any assessments. It just stays with your relevant (current) issues.

British Psychological Society
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

"Hi, My husband and I took Marriage counselling a few months ago from Sidra. Who was very helpful and co-operative. She helped me and my husband to save our marriage which was going in the wrong way. We both can now freely communicate with each other without any hesitation. We are now giving more respect to each other's decisions and contributing our opinions in our daily life. We have now also learned to avoid any arguments in children's presence. We are both thankful to Sidra who has shown the path of the happy marriage."
'Sidra is a great therapist. She has made me overcome and navigate through different situations and really taken the time to understand the root cause of my anxiety. Not only is she a great listener, but she provides meaningful advice and techniques. Highly recommend to all.'
