About me

Hello, my name is Sian, and I am a fully qualified and insured Counsellor, and member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

As a Person-Centered counsellor, I believe in offering support by working alongside my clients as they explore their feelings and experiences. My approach is entirely tailored to each individual, respecting their unique needs and personal understanding of the world. I wholeheartedly believe that in a safe and open environment, we all have the ability to reach our true potential - growing through self-awareness, understanding, and self-compassion.

My experience includes working at Rape Crisis, offering compassionate guidance to survivors and victims of childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, and rape. I also have previous experience working at a drug and alcohol addiction charity, supporting individuals on their journey through recovery.

Whether you're healing from trauma, facing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or simply seeking personal understanding and growth, I am here to help you discover the path that's right for you.

I am deeply passionate about inclusivity within my practice. If you have any access needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out - we can work together to ensure you receive the support you deserve.

No matter what challenges you are facing, big or small, I am here to listen with empathy, understanding, and care. If you’d like to know more about how I can support you, feel free to get in touch.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
