Cognitive Behavioral Therapist & Psychotherapist -BABCP,BACP

About me

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.

As an accredited CBT therapist, my passion lies in making a meaningful difference in people’s lives, especially during times of emotional or psychological difficulty. This passion led me to pursue a career in mental health. As a male therapist, I’ve seen the limited resources available, particularly for various communities and the stigma that can surround seeking support. This has driven my commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and understanding space for all my patients/clients.

Therapeutic Approach

I bring a wealth of experience from my personal and professional background within the NHS, working with both men and women whilst staying deeply committed to providing a professional mental health treatment service which creates positive change. My therapeutic style is collaborative, warm, adaptable, and client centred. I strive to ensure that every session feels safe, relaxed, and tailored to your unique needs.

Clients and patients often describe me as approachable, easy to talk to, caring, understanding whilst always maintaining professionalism. I aim to build strong, trusting relationships and deliver therapy that works around resolving your problems and getting you back to you again.

My approach goes beyond surface-level concerns to truly understand you as a whole person by recognising that each person is unique, shaped by their personal history, experiences, and core values/beliefs. By taking the time to explore these deeper layers, I aim to support meaningful and lasting change that aligns with who you are and what you value the most.

I understand that private therapy can be a significant financial commitment, however, I believe that therapy can be truly life-changing, but only when delivered effectively and ethically by the right therapist. For this reason, I only take on clients whose needs I am confident I can meet/support as I take my responsibility in supporting you very seriously.

Feel free to make contact and discuss your requirements 😊

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Cultural and Religious Considerations (all religions/cultures):
I acknowledge and integrate cultural and religious beliefs into therapeutic work, understanding that clients often use religion as a coping strategy for mental health management via exploration of challenges the client may face in this context.

Experience with Male Mental Health:
I have experience working with male clients across various ages, cultures, and religious backgrounds, particularly in addressing mental health difficulties.

Therapeutic Approach
My approach is open, non-judgmental, and grounded in acceptance. I aim to create a safe space where clients feel supported, regardless of the issues they bring. I maintain a calm and steady presence, and very little surprises me in clinical work, therefore, feel free to bring what ever is a concern.
