About me

Thinking of coming to counselling is a difficult decision. A courageous one too.

Taking this step is an act of kindness to yourself and your loved ones.

I offer you a safe space to discuss some of the challenging issues you are struggling with.

I work with adults that feel overwhelmed by the challenges they are facing and are ready to make a positive change in their life.

We meet weekly at a set time, to give you the space and time to think about what is most important to you.

I empower you to find inner strength and together, work to resolve difficult issues in a constructive way so you can move forwards, towards a more fulfilling life.

With gentle and consistent space to clarify your thoughts and understand your emotional language, you will be on your way to finding more compassion for yourself and the important relationships in your life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a warm, caring and empathetic Psychotherapist, supporting adults dealing with anxiety, unresolved losses, bereavement, relationship issues, low self esteem and life changes.

Having as safe space to discuss confidential issues can feel like a great relief. Especially if you have been carrying the burden alone, or felt that sharing it with those close to you, is not a healthy option.

I incorporate different talking modalities into my therapeutic practice.

Every client is a unique individual and I endeavour to ensure you feel at ease in therapy.

My training is psychodynamic therapy, which will give you a depth and understanding of why certain issues are challenging in your life right now. We will explore some of the issues your are experiencing and help support you to constructive changes in your life.

In addition, I am trained to work with bereaved clients and terminally ill patients. Which adds an extra dimension to the care I offer.

I will gently support you through the process of therapy in a calm and compassionate manner.

Together, we explore issues with a sensitive and healthy approach, enabling you to find the inner strength to live the life you aspire to.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
