About me
Hello, I’m a counsellor who believes in creating a safe, understanding, and genuine space where you can explore whatever feels important to you. My approach is warm and collaborative, and I draw on a range of therapeutic techniques to meet your individual needs. My aim is always to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we work together.
I have over 16 years of experience working with adults, young people, and families across West Yorkshire, supporting emotional wellbeing and mental health. My background spans family support and education in both mainstream and alternative provision, helping people navigate complex emotional and behavioural challenges. This experience gave me a deep understanding of how our early experiences and relationships can shape who we are today, and inspired me to train as a counsellor to support people at a deeper, more personal level.
Alongside my counselling practice, I have worked as a Senior Mental Health Lead in a large secondary school, developing a pathway for young people to access timely emotional support. I have also worked as a Positive Regard Consultant, training and supporting schools across the country in trauma-informed and relational approaches. These roles have strengthened my belief that empathy, trust, and human connection are at the heart of meaningful change.
In therapy, I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences at your own pace. Together, we’ll work towards greater clarity, confidence, and self-acceptance. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, grief, or the impact of past experiences, my role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself and move toward a place of balance and well-being.
I believe that, given the right support, everyone has the capacity to heal and grow. My hope is that our work together helps you rediscover your strength, find calm amid challenge, and move towards a more assured version of yourself.
