About me
Hi, and thank you for visiting my page.
I’m Sharon, a registered member of the BACP and an accredited member of the NCPS, and the owner of Rosemount Therapy.
If you’ve found yourself here, it perhaps it’s because you’re going through a difficult time or you're looking for support to make sense of what's happening in your life and how to move forward. Whatever the reason, I’m here to help.
I offer integrative and compassionate counselling tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to empower you on your journey by providing a safe, understanding space where you feel heard and supported. Together, we’ll work at your pace, focusing on growth and healing that aligns with what feels right for you. I offer a tailored approach to your individual needs, which means that our work together is designed to honour what feels right for you, allowing growth and healing that aligns with your own rhythm.
I use a blend of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Person-Centred Therapy, to support your emotional well-being. Whether you need a space to talk, prefer creative strategies, or want to work with evidence-based tools like CBT, we’ll find what works best for you.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, a recent break up, work burnout, or stress, addiction, or OCD, counselling can provide a supportive environment where you can explore your challenges and find the path forward.
Counselling can offer a safe space to explore what’s happening for you in the present, or to help you work through challenges from the past that are difficult to move on from, I am here to guide you through these challenges.
I love empowering women and helping them build confidence, whether that’s due to the end of a relationship, friendship, pregnancy and parenting, postnatal issues, menopause, or supporting them in becoming empowered in their careers. I find it incredibly rewarding to work with women because I understand the unique challenges we face and the strength it takes to overcome them.
I enjoy helping students and adults (18+) navigate the challenges of college or university life and transistions. I also enjoy working with people with neurodivergence to help them find ways to explore and understand their thoughts and feelings, improve communication, and develop strategies for personal growth and success. I am here to support you every step of the way.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, but my approach is gentle and we will work in a way that feels comfortable and empowering for you. Together, we’ll explore your inner world and develop the tools you need to move forward with confidence and resilience.
I genuinely care about supporting others and strive to create a safe, confidential and understanding space where you feel heard and supported.
Sessions are open-ended and so you can have as many or as few as you need, weekly or fortnightly.
I offer in-person counselling sessions in Backwell, Bristol, and online sessions on zoom for your convenience.
If you’re ready to take the next step, please get in touch and find out more about my avaliability.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
