About me

Are you struggling with anxiety, feeling stuck in old patterns, navigating a loss or life transition, like separation or divorce?

Does a relationship with a family member or at work leave you feeling dissatisfied, anxious, overwhelmed or unsure of yourself?

Do you find yourself replaying situations, questioning them and struggling with the emotions they bring up like anger, guilt or jealousy?

Whatever brings you here, I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can share your experience and we can explore things together, at your pace.

I’m a qualified humanistic counsellor with a background in Person-centred therapy, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis. That means I can integrate different psychotherapeutic approaches to work with you in a collaborative and compassionate way, helping you become more aware of how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you.

People often come to me feeling overwhelmed -  by their emotions, by a difficult relationship, or lacking a sense of purpose - sometimes not knowing where to begin. In our sessions, you can bring whatever’s troubling you - we might gently explore past experiences, look at recurring patterns in your relationships or behaviour, or focus on what’s going on in the here-and-now. I will work with you to find a more empowered way forward.

Clients describe me as warm, grounded and insightful. I believe in the healing potential of feeling truly heard and accepted. Being met consistently with understanding, honesty and care, can give us the support we need to disentangle our thoughts, address difficult feelings and work through our challenges.

If you’re wondering whether therapy could help, do get in touch for an initial conversation. I understand that taking the first step can feel daunting or difficult but sometimes that's when things begin to shift.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
