About me

About Me

Warm, relational online therapy for low mood, anxiety, relationship patterns and life transitions.

For individuals and couples | BACP Accredited | Free 30-minute introductory call

Helping you understand yourself, your relationships and repeating patterns, so change feels possible.

You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin therapy. If life feels heavy, overwhelming or difficult, you are not alone. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly, make sense of what is happening, and begin to find a way forward that feels right for you.

My aim is to help you understand the link between how you feel, how you see yourself, and how you connect with others, so that things begin to make sense and feel more manageable.

I support individuals and couples experiencing low mood, depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties and life transitions. This may include communication problems, trust and intimacy issues, affairs and betrayal, loss, identity changes, low confidence, people-pleasing, trauma, or feeling stuck in patterns that are hard to change.

My approach is warm, relational, compassionate and engaged. This means we may look at how your thoughts and feelings are connected to your relationships, past and present, and how these patterns may be affecting you now.

I am not a therapist who simply sits silently and nods. While I will always listen carefully and respectfully, I will also offer thoughtful reflections, gentle challenge and honest feedback where it may be helpful. Clients often tell me they value this because it helps therapy feel both supportive and purposeful.

I also believe therapy should feel human. We may explore difficult emotions together, but I will bring warmth, authenticity and, where appropriate, humour into the therapeutic space, helping to create a place where you feel understood, supported and able to reflect honestly.

I am a BACP Accredited and IPT-UK Accredited Therapist with over 20 years’ experience working across NHS Talking Therapies and the charity sector. I am also trained in Couple Therapy for Depression through Tavistock Relationships, which allows me to support both individual emotional difficulties and the impact these can have within relationships.

How I Can Help
I work with people experiencing:

  • Low mood and depression
  • Anxiety and feeling overwhelmed
  • Relationship and communication difficulties
  • Repeated relationship patterns
  • Low confidence and self-doubt
  • People-pleasing and difficulty putting your own needs first
  • Life changes, stress and loss
  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or others
  • Domestic and sexual abuse
  • Trauma
  • Loneliness
  • Gender identity and identity exploration
  • Cultural identity, difference and lived experience

Together, we can gently explore what may be underpinning your difficulties so that things begin to feel clearer, more manageable and less overwhelming.

Working With Couples
For couples, I provide a structured and supportive space to help you communicate more openly, understand each other’s perspectives, rebuild connection and trust, and work through difficult or stuck patterns together.

Couples therapy can help you slow things down, understand the pattern you may be caught in, and begin to find different ways of relating to each other.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

IPT UK
Interpersonal Psychotherapy UK (IPT UK)

Interpersonal Psychotherapy UK (IPT UK) is a multi-disciplinary interest group for people involved in the training, practice and theory of Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
