About me
Taking the first step toward seeking counselling can feel both daunting and courageous. It often means acknowledging that something in your life isn't working the way you'd like, and you're ready to make a change. This decision is a powerful one, marking the beginning of a journey toward healing, growth, and greater self-understanding. Reaching out for support is not a sign of weakness but of strength, as it shows you're ready to take control of your mental and emotional well-being.
Hello, I'm Sharlotte. I am a qualified integrative counsellor working in Thurrock, Essex. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their ethical framework. I attend regular supervision and continued professional development (CPD). I am also fully insured within my practice.
I am a dedicated counsellor who offers a safe, non-judgemental and supportive environment where each client can explore their emotions through their journey of healing and personal growth. I use an integrative approach combining Humanistic, Psychodynamic and CBT which allows me to meet the unique needs of each client.
I offer a free 20-minute introductory call which will give you an opportunity to ask me any questions regarding the counselling process and help you decide if I am the right therapist for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
