About me
Struggling with sleep or chronic insomnia? Are you laying in bed for hours trying so hard to sleep but your mind is racing and wont switch off? Constant clock watching only to find that you have 2 hours before your alarm goes off and you’re left dreading how you’re going to get through the day? You struggle through the day and fear the night ahead, hoping and praying that you’ll get some sleep only to find that when your head hits the pillow, your body is exhausted but your mind is wired and once again it’s another sleepless night. Maybe you can’t even get out of bed in the morning, you’ve had a sleepless night so try to get some sleep during the day but are still faced with not being able to sleep. What started off as night time sleep problem has now turned into a day problem. Its turned into a living nightmare. You’re cancelling plans, struggling at work, struggling to tolerate your loved ones all because insomnia has taken over your life. Insomnia can be isolating, you lay there awake whilst the rest of the world sleeps and you just wish that you could sleep too.
I’m an Insomnia therapist, also know as a CBT-I (cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia) therapist. I help adults retrain their sleep and help them quieten their busy mind at night in as little as 2 weeks. My insomnia sessions are usually 6 sessions in total. I teach you all you need to know about insomnia whilst being there to support you in reducing your time awake in bed and improving your sleep quality so that you can take back control of your nights... and your days.
I lived with severe insomnia myself for 11 years so I really do understand all the problems it can cause you and everything it can cost you. Because of this, I have extensive knowledge and understanding of insomnia so I tailor the sessions to you and support you every step of the way.
Clients describe my sessions as useful, insightful and engaging. They really feel understood and know that I know how they’re feeling because I’ve been there myself.
Along side my insomnia work, I am also a counsellor and offer online counselling for a variety of issues.
I offer a free chat so that you can get a feel for me, ask me any questions and decide whether I am the sort of person you would like to work with. Please feel free to drop me an email if you would like to arrange a chat :). My working diary changes week to week so please ignore my availability, we can discuss a time to suit you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
