About me
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or not quite yourself, counselling can be a place to slow things down and make sense of what’s going on.
I work with people who are often used to coping on the surface, but are struggling underneath with stress, self-doubt, or the impact of life changes. Together, we can explore what’s been weighing on you and begin to find a way forward that feels manageable and real.
Sessions are offered by telephone or video, so you can access support from a space that feels comfortable to you.
Who I Work With
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might be dealing with grief, anxiety, low mood or stress, going through a significant change, or feeling stuck, drained, or weighed down by self-doubt.
You may feel unheard, overwhelmed by parenting, or carry a persistent sense of not being good enough.
Whatever is going on, I offer a calm, private space where you can talk openly, feel understood, and begin to make sense of things in a way that feels manageable.
My Approach
Much of my work focuses on helping people build resilience, whether that is managing stress or burnout, navigating life changes, or finding ways to live alongside worries that do not easily go away.
Relationships are often part of this too, how you connect with others, express yourself, and whether you feel genuinely seen and understood.
Sessions are guided by you, with no set agenda, just space to talk, reflect, and explore what may need to change.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’m a counsellor with over 15 years’ experience working in a range of settings, including schools, family services, and therapeutic group work. I’ve worked as an Interventions Facilitator delivering CBT based groups, a Psychology led Family Practitioner, and a Grief and School Based Counsellor.
My approach is grounded in person centred therapy, meaning I focus on building a safe, trusting relationship where you feel heard and understood. I also draw on existential and gestalt approaches, and use CBT based tools where they are helpful, so the way we work together can be shaped around what you need.
I’ve supported people through grief and loss, major life changes, and difficulties with self worth and relationships. A lot of my work has also involved supporting families, helping parents and children make sense of behaviour, improve communication, and feel more connected to one another.
I also have experience working with individuals and families affected by cancer, and with clients dealing with complex or overwhelming experiences. My training includes trauma informed practice, suicide prevention, domestic abuse awareness, and motivational interviewing, which supports me in working safely with a wide range of issues.
I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling awarded by CPCAB, and I am a registered member of the BACP. I also have professional insurance and an up to date DBS check.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
