About me
Hi, I’m Shan! A Relational Integrative Psychotherapist offering a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted. Perhaps you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted. Maybe you’re struggling with relationships, confidence, life changes, or finding yourself repeating patterns that you don’t fully understand. You may simply feel that something isn’t quite right, but aren’t sure where to begin.
Therapy can provide a space to pause and make sense of what you’re experiencing. I work collaboratively with you, exploring not only what is happening in your life now, but also how your past experiences, relationships and attachment patterns may have shaped the way you see yourself and the world around you.
As an integrative therapist, I draw upon different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs. My work incorporates person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT-informed approaches, allowing us to explore both your present experiences and the deeper patterns that may sit beneath them. I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself can be an important part of the healing process. My aim is to create a space where you can be authentic, explore difficult emotions safely and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
There is no expectation that you need to know exactly what you want to talk about or have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can begin wherever you are.
My approach is collaborative and individualised. Together, we can explore what is happening for you, understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and work towards developing a greater sense of self-understanding, self-compassion and choice.
You don’t have to have all the answers before you begin. Sometimes, the first step is simply having somewhere safe to be heard.
