About me
Welcome. Perhaps you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, misunderstood or disconnected, or you're unsure why things feel so difficult or how to move forward. Maybe conversations keep ending in frustration, you've lost confidence in yourself, or you feel like something has shifted but you're not quite sure what.
Whatever has brought you here, counselling can offer a space to slow down, feel heard and begin to make sense of what's happening.
I'm Shanice, an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor supporting young people (11+), teenagers, young adults and parents in Basingstoke and online who want to find their way back to connection — with themselves, the people they love and the world around them.
When life feels difficult, it's easy to lose touch with ourselves, our relationships or the life we want to be living. Through a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental approach, I offer a space to explore your experiences at your own pace and understand what may be happening beneath the surface.
Whether you're navigating relationship difficulties, communication challenges, ADHD, autism, neurodivergence, identity, anxiety, self-esteem or life changes, we'll gently explore what feels important to you. Alongside talking therapy, I can also work creatively where appropriate, helping you express experiences that may feel difficult to put into words.
I offer counselling in person in Basingstoke and online across the UK.
You don't have to wait until things reach crisis point. If you've been feeling unheard, stuck or disconnected, counselling can offer a space to understand yourself more deeply and explore a way forward. Taking the first step can feel daunting, so I aim to make it as comfortable as possible.
If you're wondering whether I'm the right counsellor for you, you can book a free, no-obligation 20-minute introductory call by scrolling to the top of my profile and selecting "Book Intro Call". I'd love to hear from you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
