About me
Hello! I have more than 20 years of experience working as a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS and can help with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, or a general feeling of 'overwhelm'. I am experienced in working with people from marginalised communities and you can expect a warm and respectful welcome with me.
Whether you are struggling with life stress, work, parenting, a physical health diagnosis, fertility problems, body image, gender identity, sexuality or something else, I can help you untangle what you feel from what has happened and offer evidence-based therapy to support you to make the changes you want to.
If you have experienced a loss of trust in healthcare services (as an NHS health professional or as a patient) or feel isolated or alone in your emotional experience, please get in touch to see how I can help. I have current availability to offer sessions for adults (18+) and couples, either online anywhere in the UK or face to face at The Consulting Rooms, Glasgow.
Training, qualifications & experience
My first degree - BSc (Hons) in Psychology at University College London - was in 1998 and after working in year-long posts as a crisis team support worker, MH research assistant and assistant psychologist, all in inner city London, I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) at University College London in 2005. I also have a Post Graduate Certificate in Applied Systems Theory from the Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust (2012). I have worked in Primary Care (GP surgeries) and in sexual health & HIV services in London. For the past 15 years I have worked in NHS hospital-based physical health services, experienced in helping patients and NHS staff to cope (and sometimes thrive) in difficult circumstances. I worked in hospital hubs to support NHS frontline staff during COVID lockdowns.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Additional information
First 10-15 minute phone/ video call - no charge.
My fees for individual clients are £110 for a 50 minute session. It is most helpful at the start to attend sessions weekly or fortnightly, spacing these out later as things improve. In approximately 8-12 sessions, many clients would find things have improved, but for more complex issues I offer longer-term work (e.g. for experiences of trauma).
Fees for couples are £125 for a 50 minute session, and £165 for 80 minutes. I prefer to see couples in person, but can also offer sessions online.
I can accept payment via most major insurance companies.

Further information
Email me with a phone number and a brief message about what you are looking for, and I will arrange a phone or video call with you to discuss options. This first 'meeting' of 10-15 minutes is not charged and will be a chance to hear each other's voices and make connection, to consider whether I am the right service for you. I cannot offer assessment in this first call and it will mainly be to discuss logistics and best fit.
For in-person sessions, I see clients at The Consulting Rooms, in Glasgow city centre. This is a 5 minute walk from Buchanan Street subway, 5 minutes walk from Queen Street train station and 10 minutes walk from Glasgow Central train station.
