About me

If you’ve found your way here, something in your life may feel difficult right now. You might be experiencing challenges in a relationship, feeling overwhelmed at work, struggling with anxiety or low mood, or trying to make sense of life after the loss of someone important to you — whether recently or many years ago.

Life can feel heavy at times, but you do not have to navigate it alone.

I work in a solution-focused way, helping clients recognise and gently break unhealthy patterns of thinking and behaviour that may be keeping them stuck. Together, we identify what is not working, explore what needs to change, and build practical, realistic strategies that support lasting emotional wellbeing.

My approach is collaborative, warm and grounded. I believe that with the right therapeutic relationship, people can grow, develop new life skills and strengthen their resilience. Therapy is not about “fixing” you — it is about helping you understand yourself more deeply, respond differently, and feel more empowered in your life.

My experience includes working within Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP), private medical settings, voluntary services and private practice. This breadth of experience enables me to support clients facing a wide range of personal and professional stressors.

I offer a warm, confidential space in a private office for face-to-face sessions, as well as telephone and Zoom appointments.

I am fully accredited with the BACP, hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, an enhanced DBS certificate, full professional insurance, and am a member of the ICO.

Fees are £55 per session.

If you would like to explore working together, please feel free to email me. I will respond within 24 hours to arrange an initial phone call where we can discuss any questions you may have before beginning.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
