About me

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Modern life can leave you feeling stretched incredibly thin. If you are carrying the weight of anxiety, depression, burnout, relational difficulties or past trauma, please know you don’t have to navigate it alone. Reaching out isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a powerful step toward taking back the steering wheel of your life.

As a BACP Accredited Counsellor, I provide a warm, safe, and confidential space where you can finally untangle complex emotions. Unlike conversations with well-meaning friends or family—who often rush to offer "quick fixes" or biased advice—therapy with me is entirely different. Here, the usual social expectations don't apply. In our sessions, you can count on:

  • Zero Judgment: A place to voice your messiest thoughts without any fear of criticism.
  • No Unsolicited Advice: I won't tell you how to live your life; I will help you discover what you truly need.
  • A Grounded, Neutral Perspective: A professional, objective lens free from the assumptions often found in personal relationships.

Whether you need to gently explore your past or want a practical toolkit for the future, you set the pace. I work collaboratively with you, specializing in:

  • Anxiety & Stress: Calming the nervous system and building real-time coping techniques.
  • Depression & Low Mood: Reconnecting with meaning, clarity, and your personal goals.
  • Trauma-Informed Support: Helping you feel safer, more grounded, and present in your body.
  • Anger & Irritability: Moving past "bottling things up" to understand triggers and express yourself safely.
  • Confidence & Resilience: Building a practical, real-world toolkit to handle life's bumps.

My clients frequently share that simply being heard brings a profound sense of relief, and they leave our work with practical skills to manage distress in the real world.

I understand choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision, and finding the right fit matters. To help you decide if we’re a good match, I offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute phone or video consultation. It’s a completely pressure-free space to chat about what's going on and how we might work together. I look forward to hearing from you.

I offer psychological education as I firmly believe that science-backed knowledge is the key to driving real change. By learning the mechanics of your mental health, you move from being a passive observer of your distress to an active participant in your recovery. This understanding helps you gain "distance"—the ability to observe a feeling without being consumed by it.

Ultimately, when you understand the science of your mind, you gain more control, the confidence to lead yourself forward, and the expertise to become the authority on your own life.
