About me
I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and EMDR therapist with over 20 years’ experience in mental health, having worked extensively as a Mental Health Nurse within the NHS before qualifying as a CBT therapist.
My background gives me a strong understanding of both the psychological and medical aspects of mental health. I have extensive knowledge of antidepressant and antipsychotic medication, which enables me to work confidently alongside medical treatment and support clients with complex or long-standing difficulties.
I offer evidence-based, compassionate therapy tailored to each individual. I work collaboratively, at a pace that feels right for you, helping you to make sense of your difficulties and develop practical tools for lasting change
How I Work
I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore what is troubling you. I draw primarily on CBT and EMDR, and integrate approaches from Motivational Interviewing and Compassion Focused Therapy where helpful, particularly for clients who feel stuck, self-critical, or overwhelmed.
My approach is warm, structured, and practical, with a strong focus on understanding patterns, building resilience, and supporting meaningful progress.
