About me

"If we could allow the pace of our meetings to slow down to the pace of our hearts, we might find genuine understanding.” Marion woodman.

Hi, I’m returning to sessions after a year on maternity leave. I wonder if like me you find that the every day world can be so noisy and full of everyone’s wants, needs and opinions. I offer a space where you can breathe a little deeper, where you can drop beneath the every day noise and hear yourself. No agenda, no pressure. A space of permission, where through presence and a combination of somatic therapies we can tend to what in you needs attention.

After a number of years working primarily as a trauma therapist for a world renowned trauma clinic I’m currently feeling a pull home to my roots as a dance movement psychotherapist and to offering spaces that combine dance/ movement, and nervous system awareness with the specialist modalities I’ve trained in (polyvagal theory, internal family systems, Somatic Experiencing, sensorimotor).

I’m calling to people who are curious about exploring their unconscious material through the lens of dance and movement. Although it’s important to say you do not need to be able to dance or even move! The dance I am referring to is the language of the soul… it’s about something deeper moving you. Even if you’re not interested in exploring through dance but what I offer speaks to you please do get in contact.

I also know well the complexity of feelings and defense mechanisms that can show up and my hope is to offer a space where nothing needs to be left outside in the cold. We can dance with it all.

I offer 60 minute sessions in person in Bridport or online via Zoom. I also run trauma informed groups so reach out if you’re interested in group work. I offer a 15 minute free initial phone or zoom call where we can meet each other, I can answer any questions and we can see if we are a good fit to work together.
