About me
I am an NCPS accredited counsellor with over 30 years’ professional experience working in sexual offences and domestic violence within the Metropolitan Police Service and NHS. I bring lived experience of domestic violence and adverse childhood experiences, which informs a compassionate and authentic approach.
I support individuals and couples experiencing:
- Anxiety, panic, and low mood
- Trauma, PTSD & complex trauma
- Domestic violence & abuse recovery
- Grief, loss & bereavement
- Relationship difficulties & couples counselling
- Low self-esteem & confidence
- Anger management
- OCD & intrusive thoughts
- Neurodivergent experiences (ASD/ADHD)
- Life transitions (career change, redundancy, identity, retirement)
- Training & Approach
I am integratively trained, meaning I am trained in Person-Centred, CBT, and Psychodynamic therapy, and I integrate these approaches to suit each individual client. I also work with attachment theory, and am trauma-informed, and have additional training in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
I work collaboratively and intuitively, drawing on the therapeutic approach that best fits the client’s needs, helping them build clarity, confidence, and resilience.
How I Can Help
I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and supported. I help clients make sense of their thoughts and emotions, explore relationship patterns, and understand how past experiences affect present life.
I support clients in developing practical coping strategies, improving communication, and building self-worth, boundaries, and healthier relationships.
Therapy with me is about genuine healing and lasting change, not quick fixes.
