About me
Hi, I'm Sarah. I am a registered accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I provide counselling for adults and couples and offer online, telephone and face to face sessions.
In life we can all have certain experiences that can affect us deeply, whether they are happening now, recently or which may have happened many years ago. They can influence how we feel and behave and can present in may ways. Maybe you feel anxious, overwhelmed, confused, or caught in patterns that are hard to make sense of. You may be wanting things to change, to feel different or ready to explore something within yourself. Things that you may have been holding on to or keeping supressed. Sometimes everything just feels stuck!
Counselling provides a space to talk through what you’re experiencing, whether you have a clear sense of what’s troubling you or simply you know that something isn’t right. It’s a space where you can be yourself and feel genuinely heard.
HOW I WORK
I aim to provide a safe, confidential, and non judgemental space, working with empathy and at your own pace. Together, we will explore what you’re experiencing and find ways to move towards your goals. I am committed to listening and working alongside you as you develop your own understanding and awareness, helping you discover your own answers and creating the changes that feel right for you. My sessions are a space where you can be yourself and feel genuinely heard and seen.
As a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, I work with the core models of my training and integrate these approaches to shape therapy around your needs and what feels most comfortable and helpful for you. By doing this it supports your inner resources while gently exploring the areas you may find difficult and challenging. My aim is to accompany you through your process with respect for your individuality and unique lived experience.
I have extensive experience running my own private practice and have worked within various voluntary organisations. These include supporting carers, friends, and families of those who have been bereaved at St Peters and St Johns Hospice, counselling couples and individuals who have been affected by drugs and alcohol, and for several years within a charity supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
I know how daunting starting counselling can be - and how transformative it can become. With the right support, therapy can nurture change, growth, healing, and a renewed sense of confidence in yourself and within your life.
I offer a free 20‑minute introductory session by telephone or Zoom. This gives us a chance to explore what you’re looking for and helps me understand what has brought you to this point. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions or share any concerns you may have. Together, we can get a sense of whether I’m the right person to support you and whether my approach feels like a good fit. At the end of the call, we can decide what feels right moving forward. There is no obligation to book further sessions, and I often encourage people to speak with a few counsellors before choosing - feeling safe and comfortable is essential so you can embrace your therapeutic journey.
Sessions can be by telephone, Zoom, or face-to-face in Mold, Flintshire. I am able to offer short or long-term counselling, with either weekly or fortnightly sessions, to suit your individual needs or circumstances, which can be reviewed at any point during your counselling.
If you prefer, I am also very happy to answer any questions by text, WhatsApp or email before taking the step of arranging an introductory session.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
