Training, qualifications & experience

I am Dr Sarah Jane Khalid, a Counselling Psychologist, CBT Therapist, Coach, and Meditation Teacher, offering a refined, compassionate, and deeply personalised approach to psychological wellbeing.

My career has spanned the NHS, charitable organisations, and private practice, allowing me to work with adults from a wide range of professional, cultural, and personal backgrounds. I support those navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, low self-esteem, workplace challenges, and significant life transitions. Many of the individuals I work with are high-achieving professionals carrying the often invisible pressures of demanding and high-performance lives both in the UK and world-wide.

My approach is informed by extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy. I have also completed specialist training in CBT-informed menopause therapy with Embers and am currently undertaking training in EMDR for trauma treatment. This breadth of expertise allows me to tailor my work with care, discernment, and precision, drawing on the most appropriate therapeutic approaches for each individual.

Alongside my work as a Psychologist, I am also a trained as a Life Coach and Executive Coach. I also am a certified Meditation Teacher, recognised by the British School of Meditation and the Chopra Centre. Where helpful, I integrate meditation and positive psychology into my work, creating an approach that is both clinically grounded and holistic in its perspective.

I have a particular interest in women's wellbeing, including fertility, menopause, post-natal mental health, returning to work, and times of transition. More broadly, I am committed to offering a calm, discreet, and thoughtfully held space in which clients feel genuinely understood and expertly supported.

At the centre of my work is the belief that therapy should be both expertly held and deeply human. My intention is to offer a space for reflection, healing, and meaningful change - one that is grounded in warmth, insight, and care.
