About me
I offer short and long term counselling to adults - providing a non-judgemental and empathetic space to be truly heard. My specialisms are times of life transitions, particularly bereavement and new parenthood.
I trained integratively but primarily work from a person-centred space. This means that I believe you are the expert in knowing what you need. However, I understand from personal experience that this internal voice can sometimes feel lost or silenced and having another person there to validate, listen and support your process can make a real difference.
I work relationally and aim to create a space where you feel safe and heard, meeting you as a fellow human above all else. My training and experience allows me to work with you in a way that moves beyond how you might chat to a friend or family member for support, however.
Training, qualifications & experience
In addition to Private Practice I have worked for a number of years as a counsellor at a cancer support charity, offering support to those experiencing bereavement, anticipatory grief, processing diagnosis and experiencing treatment.
My employment background is within perinatal mental health charities - supporting parents experiencing emotional challenges before and after having a baby.
I am particularly interested in supporting people through life transitions such as the above.
