About me

I am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist based in York. I offer short-term, goal-focussed treatment to people experiencing problems with stress, anxiety and depressed mood. I work with both individuals and couples specialising in problems with low self esteem, perinatal distress and trauma.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • PG Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from Royal Holloway University, London.
  • PG Certificate in Couples Therapy for Depression from Tavistock Relationships.
  • PG Certificate in CBT for Long Term Conditions from Sheffield University.
  • PG Certificate in The Practice of Mental Health (IAPT)
  • BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Newcastle University

I have over 15 years experience helping people to overcome problems with depression and anxiety. In addition to my private practice I work for the NHS as Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.

I also offer clinical supervision and provide training both in-house and at UCL University.

I trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at one of London's leading psychology departments, Royal Holloway University. I maintain up to date knowledge and skills within the field by regularly attending training and supervision in line with requirements for accreditation.
