About me

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or not quite yourself anymore?

You might look like you’re coping on the outside…But inside, it’s a different story.

Your mind doesn’t switch off.

You overthink everything.

Small things feel big, and big things feel impossible.

Or maybe it’s the opposite…

You feel flat, disconnected, like you’re just going through the motions.

Not really here. Not really you.

You might be:

Constantly anxious or on edge
Drained, low, or struggling to find motivation
Stuck in patterns you don’t understand
Carrying things from the past that still affect you now
Wondering why you react the way you do… even when you know better
And part of you is thinking:

“I shouldn’t still feel like this.”

How I work

I’m Sara, a HCPC-registered psychologist. I specialise in anxiety, depression, and trauma.

We’ll make sense of what’s going on for you.

Together, we’ll:
Understand why your mind and body react the way they do

Break down the patterns that keep you stuck
Build practical tools that work in real life (not just in theory)
Help you feel more in control of your thoughts, emotions, and reactions

I use an integrative approach, which means I draw from therapies like CBT, DBT, Schema, ACT, CFT, and trauma-informed work. But more importantly, I adapt everything to you.

No one-size-fits-all therapy here.

This might be for you if…

You’re tired of just “getting through the day”

You’ve tried to fix things yourself but keep ending up in the same place
You feel overwhelmed by your thoughts or emotions
You avoid situations, people, or decisions because they feel too much
You want more than just talking — you want to actually feel different

What therapy with me is like:

People often tell me they feel comfortable quickly,  like they don’t have to filter themselves.

I’ll meet you with warmth, honesty, and zero judgement.

But I’ll also gently challenge you when needed, so things actually shift.

This isn’t about endlessly going over the past or just venting each week.

It’s about helping you:

Understand yourself

Feel more steady
And start living differently

Where this can go

Therapy isn’t about becoming a completely different person.

It’s about:

Feeling calmer in your own mind

Responding instead of reacting
Having more energy for the things that matter
Feeling like yourself again… or maybe for the first time

 Next steps

If you’re thinking about reaching out, that usually means part of you is ready.

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

You just need to start.

Training, qualifications & experience

I’m a HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist with 20+ years of experience supporting adults facing emotional distress, trauma, and mental health challenges. I have worked across NHS services, acute inpatient settings, and private practice, offering safe and grounded support to individuals from all walks of life.

I hold a Doctorate level qualification in Forensic Psychology as a specialism and have completed specialist training in Trauma-informed care. I have worked with people at the sharpest edge of crisis and also those who have spent years masking their difficulties and presenting as high functioning whilst deeply struggling inside. I draw on Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy. I also work with Somatic and nervous system regulation models such as Sensorimotor and Polyvagal, working with emotional numbness, shame, and high-functioning distress.

My style is integrative, practical, and deeply compassionate drawing on a range of therapeutic tools to meet you where you are. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, disconnection, complex trauma, or a general sense of feeling flat or overwhelmed, we’ll work together to help you feel more like yourself again.

I offer 60-minute online sessions from the comfort of your own home across the UK and face to face sessions from a purpose built therapy centre in Mansfield
