About me
Hi, I’m Sara سارا
Many people come to me having learnt to cope by appearing capable on the outside, while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from what they feel, need or want. This can show up as anxiety, feeling stuck or numb, overwhelm, over-thinking, depression, relationship difficulties, or physical symptoms that don’t always seem to make sense.
You may be reaching out if you:
- Feel stuck in familiar, unfulfilling relationships or repeating patterns in family or dating dynamics
- Experience anxiety, shame, low self-esteem, loneliness, or depression
- Notice ongoing physical symptoms such as tension, fatigue, pain, digestive difficulties, numbness, or stress-related voice or performance issues
- Struggle to trust your instincts or feel unsure about what you need
- Feel impacted by past or overwhelming experiences that continue to show up in the present
I’m a Gestalt counsellor (MBACP) working in Shoreditch, Central London and online.
My approach is collaborative, honest and relational. I offer a space where we can slow things down and explore what’s happening in your thoughts, feelings, relationships, and body, including how past experiences may still be shaping your present.
Over time, therapy can support you in noticing your patterns more clearly, understanding what they are trying to do for you, and developing a more trusting relationship with yourself and your needs creating more connection and depth in your relationships.
Alongside my counselling training, I have a background as a classical singer and experience working in high-pressure creative environments. This gives me a particular understanding of performance pressure, self-expectation, and how stress and emotion can be held in the body as well as the mind.
I also offer creative ways of working when helpful, to support expression beyond words. I find this ways of working to be less work for you and brings the unconscious quickly to the surface.
My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally engaged and identity interested. This is an area of interest for me and I'm always reflecting and learning on my own identity and understanding in different circles, community and my actions that will have an impact.
Next Steps
Reaching out can feel like a big step, especially if you’re used to managing things on your own. If you’re curious about working together you're welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial session or an intro call.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
