About me
I work online with Individuals and Couples and have over 20 years of experience. I specialise in working with Neurodiversity. I support people with or without a formal identification of Autism and/or ADHD to better understand and accept themselves. I provide an accessible and compassionate service, helping alleviate anxiety, loneliness and low confidence.
A range of difficulties and challenges can be explored in sessions, and my approach will be adapted to support you to get the most out of our work together. I am active and direct in my approach, and so you will know where you are with me. The therapeutic relationship you have with me will be characterised by empathy, genuineness and acceptance of you as a unique individual. Communication you have with me will be on your own terms and in your own time. The learning that takes place in our sessions will then support your relationships with yourself, the other people in your life and with one another if you are in a couple.
Alongside my initial Counselling and Psychotherapy training, I have completed a Post Grad Certificate in Autism with Dr Luke Beardon. I read widely and attend ongoing training and learning, meaning I am continually engaged in my own personal and professional development. My therapeutic practice is particularly informed and supported by my ongoing interest in Buddhist Philosophy/Psychology and Insight Meditation.
I take my personal power in therapeutic relationships seriously and operate within professional and ethical boundaries. I have been a member of the BACP for the last 24 years.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
