About me
Hello, my name is Sandy, l am a Qualified Psychotherapeutic, humanistic and PCT Counsellor and also a Play Therapist Counsellor for children. l would like to start by thanking you for taking time today to read this.
Realising you need support at a difficult time and reaching out can be hard, and takes courage. I can offer a non- judgemental, safe and empathetic environment, alongside one-on-one confidential time just for you; in which I will actively listen to your concerns and facilitate your process of discovery and personal journey. I specialise in person centred therapy, humanistic and psychodynamic counselling, and play therpy counselling for children ages 5 upwards. I offer an integrative approach to meet the clients individual therapy needs.
I would be honoured to help any individuals to reach their goals and fulfill their personal potential in life. I consider myself privileged to have the knowledge and advanced skills to support my clients with their vulnerable feelings and emotions.
I have over 30 years experience helping people with their physical and mental health. I respect all individuals and understand everyone will process and develop in their own unique way. I have vast experience, skills and knowledge working with children, teenagers and young adults along with adults of all ages. I have worked as a school counsellor and strived to ensure the best practice for all my clients with ongoing CPD courses and personal growth.
I understand that mental health can make us all vulnerable, and recognising you need support is the first step to getting the help you require.
Psychodynamic counselling can help you reflect and explore the past and consider how this can impact on the here and now and how this could change your perspective on your current life and the future. Person centred therapy will offer you the opportunity to better understand yourself and allow you to better process your emotions, which ultimately will lead to your own growth and future development as a person. My integrative approach to counselling offers you tools to become more self aware and allows you to utilise the individual therapy style you may require to achieve a more healthy and balanced approach to your life.
I can help with many different issues, specialising in bereavement and loss counselling for children and adults, support with medical conditions and anything related to mental health, including; anxiety, anger, relationships, low confidence and self esteem to name a few... no problem is too big or too small
I have gained countrywide clients due to my word of mouth referrals from past, and ongoing clients having developed a strong rapport, successful outcomes and a respected reputation. I work face to face, provide Home visit counselling and on-line options with watts app and zoom. Whatever your needs for counselling at this time; please make contact as I am happy to listen and help you.
My priority as a counsellor and therapist is always YOU- the client. I respect you as an individual and we can work together to achieve your unique goals and objectives. Take care and reach out: l can help you in your time of need. Sandy
