I am a person-centred Practitioner and have experience of counselling adults/young people and couples.
I have experience in many areas such as Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Bereavement (see below). I also work with life threatening illnesses where I support individuals experiencing diseases such as cancer, from diagnosis, treatment and end of life. I support the client and the family/carers.

I have been a qualified person centred counsellor for 9 years and a counselling supervisor for 4 years. I have my own private practice and have experience of 1-1 and couples counselling.
My specialist areas are Bereavement, Body Image, Identity, life threatening diseases, end of life, Trauma and coping with Stress.
BA Hon's Degree - Counselling and Psychology in Community Settings
Barnardos - Supporting young people with disabilities, working from the Social Model of disability.
P.G.C.E - Postgraduate Certificate in Education and Training
H.E Diploma - Higher Education Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling in Human Relations.
Diploma Supervision - Person Centred - Individual and Group Supervision for Counsellors and Psychotherapist and those in related professions - Cascade Bridget Proctor

Other areas of counselling I deal with
Call or email to set up an initial assessment. We can then talk about what it is you want from counselling. If you are happy with the first contact and want to continue a second session will be arranged for weekly/fortnightly counselling sessions.
Fees are based on an hourly rate of £45.00/£50.00
I have a number of low-cost spaces to provide affordable counselling for those on low incomes. I also offer concessions for trainee counsellors.
I may be able to offer home visits.
I support individuals experiencing illnesses such as cancer, his sometimes means they are unable to leave their home. If this is you I may be in a position to visit you in your own home.
