About me

I am a UCKP registered and BACP accredited Integrative psychotherapist and counsellor. I currently practice privately in Shoreditch, East London and on-line.

Having previously worked in various counselling and NHS settings providing therapy to clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological needs I am particularly experienced in supporting those who are struggling with depression & low mood, anxiety & overwhelm, identity & self-esteem issues, eating & body issues, relationship problems, addictive behaviours, stress & burn out, lack of direction, life transitions, loss & bereavement, trauma & body-based pain / illness and more

(Please see below for my area of additional interest for those who are on or have been on a fertility, pregnancy or parenting journey and wish to seek specialist support)

Integrative Therapy

My training is in Integrative Psychotherapy.
This training allows me to consider a wide range of ways for us to work together to achieve your therapy goals. I take a holistic and individualised approach by placing the clients’ unique needs at the heart of the work. In this way together we can look at which ways of working are best for you and your individual life experiences and circumstances. I work with humanistic, psychodynamic, existential, transpersonal and CBT models such as mindfulness.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • MSc Integrative Psychotherapy ( Metanoia Institute / Middlesex University ) - in completion
  • Diploma Integrative Psychodynamic Counselling ( Metanoia Institute )
  • BSc (Hons) Healthcare/Midwifery ( Bristol UWE )
  •  Mindfulness practitioner certificate (2015)

    MBACP No : 382161

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Starting Therapy

It’s common to feel unsure about starting therapy, with whom to start with or for how long. Together we can discuss any concerns or questions you may have to enable you to make the best choice for you.

Our first session is an opportunity to meet each other, discuss what brings you to therapy at this time in your life, your wishes or expectations from therapy and look at how we might work together. We will also discuss the contract and practical aspects of working together.

Should you decide to proceed with therapy our sessions would take place weekly at the same time. I offer short term, long term, and open-ended therapy which we will discuss together at the start of our work.

All sessions are by appointment only - please call, text or email me to arrange a session time. Unscheduled drop ins to the office address unfortunately cannot be accommodated.
