Hello, I'm Samantha - It means "Listener" I was born to help others......
I understand just how hard it is to make that step to reach out for help, but when you do, you will feel empowered by encouraging your personal development. I am passionate about the work I do and I love helping others
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
As a fully qualified counsellor/psychotherapist, I am a warm, spiritual, understanding empathic person.
I am based in Brentwood Essex I have a lovely room in the high street. I work very flexible times to suit most people, I do home visits locally for some clients who are disabled or people who are having trouble with getting child care.
Helping people is my passion which has included people from different race, age, gender, sex, gay, lesbian, transexual, cross dressing or disability. I work on a one to one or with couples, and i also work with families.
I provide a safe non-judgemental relationship and empowerment is the key I can teach positive tools to help clients actualize to their full potential.
I am a member of BACP and I work to the BACP's Ethical Framework For Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Ethical Guidelines for Researching Counselling and Psychotherapy. All counselling is private and confidential.
I have a website called www.selistens.com. I am Bupa registered. I also provide telephone and video counselling of which I am offering half price at the moment due to joining a platform called www.RingWell.com
I guide, help and support people into finding their way on their journey in life, I encourage people and help them 'learn to love and accept themselves'. ''It is when we learn to love ourselves, that we are truly open to a greater love from others''......
Feelings like Loneliness, anxiety and sadness are feelings we may all have felt, at some time during our lives, along with shame, guilt, betrayal, anger, perfectionism, hopelessness, but it is by sharing the way you feel, that can help you heal...or maybe you just want to find yourself, through the talking therapies you can personally develop and live a more happy and fulfilling life....
I I have helped many couples find their way be it together or if needed go their separate ways.

Many people are effected by narcissism. Either by a parent or parents or by a loved one ie spouse, sibling or friend.
Being caught up in the web of a naccisist can leave a person broken, empty, drained, feelings of suicide, feelings of insanity.
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder in which there is a long-term pattern of abnormal behavior characterized by exaggerated feelings of self-importance, an excessive need for admiration, and a lack of understanding of others' feelings.
Naccisist are capable of many unkind things. Cheating, compulsive lying, cruelty, abuse of all types.
If you have been effected by someone who has NPD then you probably would benefit from counselling, so you can work on building your life up again. Work on your self esteem and self worth. Help you to have boundaries to avoid attracting these people into your life. Or maybe you are in a relationship at the moment and you can’t find a way out.
Counselling is the way forward.
