About me
Hello,
If you're reading this, I'm assuming you're ready for a change. Whether that be a change in your mindset, a change in lifestyle or circumstances, it maybe that you're ready to change unwanted emotional and behavioural responses. If that's the case, I can help you.
I have over 9 years’ experience as a therapist. I started my career off as a Life Coach and Clinical Hypnotherapist and later qualified as an Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist, offering Person Centred, CBT, Transactional Analysis Counselling and solution focussed therapy.
Therapy is the process of talking about and working through your personal problems. I'm here to help you to address your problems in a positive way by helping you to clarify the issues, explore your options, develop coping strategies and increase your self-awareness.
Having therapy is all about making positive change. Henry Ford once said “If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.” It’s very easy to fall into a trap of doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result each time. Living with the same behaviours, making the same mistakes, having the same morals, values and beliefs. We can feel stuck and so sometimes it’s just about being willing to take that first step into changing your life. My job is to support you through the process.
As a therapist I have gained a lot of experience working with various mental health conditions such as generalised anxiety disorder, panic attacks, stress, depression, low self-esteem, abuse, trauma, suicidal ideation and identity issues. I understand that one size does not fit all. For example, ten people may be experiencing the same problem, but that doesn’t mean they are all experiencing it in the same way. We're all different and so I provide an integrative approach to therapy, using a variety of therapy styles and tools to help you to become the best possible version of yourself.
People often assume that there needs to be something seriously wrong with your mental health to start therapy and thats not the case at all. You don't need to be suffering with trauma or depression, sometimes people just want to understand themselves better and become self-aware. I can help with this also.
One of the most important elements of therapy is the therapeutic relationship between the client and the therapist and it's really important to make sure that you find the right therapist for you. I offer a free telephone consultation so that we can have an initial chat, and you have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
I am based in a beautiful peaceful clinic in Alderley Edge, surrounded by fields and nature. If you would prefer to do your sessions in the comfort of your own home, I also take online sessions which can be done via teams to zoom.
If you would like to enquire, please contact me and I will contact you as soon as possible.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
