About me

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. Maybe your relationships aren't going as well as you'd like, you've noticed you're repeating a pattern or you're using detrimental coping strategies. Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed with stress or exhausted and burnt out. You may be here because you're looking for someone to help you to feel more calm, more alive, or simply more able to deal with life's challenges.

The way I work can support you to find new ways of being, to build confidence and feel steady to make good decisions. I do this through a warm, consistent, real relationship with my clients, untangling things together to find the right answer for you. If you're interested in working together, please do book an introductory call and we can talk on the phone.

What to expect when working with me

I'm not a passive listener, you'll find me to be an active presence, guided by my sense of what you need. Counselling is a place where you can bring all parts of your life, the challenges and difficult feelings as well as the moments of energy and celebration. I bring my whole self in the hope that over time, you can too.

Together we can build a nurturing relationship where you won't be judged. We can begin to make sense of what's troubling you and where it might be coming from. In my experience, understanding what's going on opens doors to new possibilities we couldn't see before. I don't give advice, but I will support you to untangle things so that you can find the right answer for you.

My training

I have completed extensive training and integrate a wide range of theoretical stances in my work. All of the theories I draw upon are concerned with relationships being key to learning and how our history shapes our lives. I use this wide underpinning to tailor my approach to the unique person in front of me.

My work is trauma-informed and places importance on the body, seeing humans as interconnected. I have also completed extensive personal therapy of my own, so I know how it feels to enter counselling and go through this process.

Additional information

In-person and online sessions are 60 mins long, charged at £50 (payable on the day of the session).

You are not limited to a certain number of sessions - I work on an open-ended basis, so together we can decide when the right time is for you to finish. My availability is dependent on what I have committed to already, so do email or book a call to discuss availability.

Further information

If you're interested in working together, book an intro call or send me an email. We will then have a 15 minute phone call (free of charge) for you to get a sense of me, and for me to hear what you’re looking for. If we feel we are a good fit for each other, we will book an initial 60 minute session.

I work from two locations: Hygge House (Thurmaston) on Fridays and Quetzal (Talbot Lane) on Tuesdays. Quetzal is a women-only space so I can only work with female clients (anyone who identifies as female) from here. If you have found me through the Quetzal directory please let me know in your enquiry.

I'm mindful of how difficult it can be to reach out for support, so I hope to make you feel as comfortable as I can.
