About me

I am a Senior Cognitive Behavioural Therapist accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I have training in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) (this focuses on relationship difficulties) and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT).  I work in the NHS and in private practice, and offer evidence-based interventions to help you work through emotional difficulties quickly and effectively.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based talking therapy that helps you to identify unhelpful thought patterns and change behaviour that causes emotional distress. I specialise in delivering tailored CBT services to help with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), problems with stress, self-esteem, and more.

Appointments are available in my clinic in West Hampstead, Kensington, or Clapham; or online from the convenience of your home. Online therapy provides the same level of care and confidentiality as face-to-face sessions, all you need is a computer or phone and a private space.

Typical presentations of clients whom I treat:

Anxiety and worry about a range of different topics, clients often describe themselves as 'over-thinkers'; struggling to sleep and experiencing physical anxiety symptoms.

Experiencing intrusive, unwanted thoughts and finding it difficult not to engage in certain rituals or compulsions to reduce or 'get rid of' these thoughts. This often impact various areas of the individuals life.

Depression, feeling fed up and hopeless with life or experiencing thoughts of self-harm and suicide.

Anxiety in social situations, fear of embarrassing yourself, not knowing what to say and others judging you.

Clients experiencing very intrusive and distressing memories, flashbacks, nightmares and often hypervigilance following a traumatic incident. This can be in adulthood (often sexual assault, domestic abuse, road-traffic accident) or from childhood (parental abuse, sexual abuse). I have advanced training in trauma-focused CBT.

Adjustment - struggling to adjust to a big life change such as becoming a parent, a significant change in work role or diagnosis of a chronic health condition.

Whether you are experiencing any of the above or if you just feel you need to talk to someone, getting in touch with a therapist is the first step. I offer free 15 minute consultations at various times, if none of these work for you please feel free to reach out to me by email or telephone to discuss an alternative.
