About me
Hello, I am an experienced, registered psychodynamic psychotherapist offering in person and online therapy sessions in Bristol. If you are looking for help and support with what you are going through, you are welcome to contact me right away. I specialise in helping people affected by trauma, and people living with chronic physical health conditions. I am open-minded, collaborative, supportive and interested; my approach is that we work together in a way that is right for you and what you need, and what you want to achieve in therapy.
Therapy should be a time and space in your week where you can be present and figure things out, by being understood and supported by a real life, experienced mental health professional. If you have doubts or anxieties about therapy, especially if these are due to past experiences, I have extensive experience of providing a safe, consistent, confidential environment where we can work together, first to identify your needs and hopes for therapy, and then to facilitate the changes you would like to make.
You may be experiencing difficulties relating to how you feel or to a specific relationship or event, which may be getting you down, and getting in the way of you being able to live a full life. We can work on this together so you can begin to move forward. I can help you with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, difficulties concentrating and making decisions, hyperactivity, insomnia and dissociation. I can help you to make sense of your relationships, family issues, and other aspects of your identity and lived experience. I can support you with specific and particular stresses and challenges and dilemmas in your life, especially those which arise in later life.
I work from a private, peaceful consulting room on the ground floor of a quiet building in a central location, which is easily accessible; here I will listen to you and support you; you can voice your thoughts, feelings and experiences, have a chance to reflect and find meaning, and find a way to make positive changes.
I offer once or twice weekly therapy sessions, depending on what will be right for you. We would have two initial meetings usually, to identify your hopes for the therapy and find out if the therapy will be right for you, before beginning ongoing sessions.
You can contact me via Counselling Directory, or email or phone to book an initial meeting.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.
BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
