About me

I am a qualified therapist offering a warm, non-judgemental and down-to-earth approach. I work Integratively, which means I have experience in a variety of techniques and approaches, and can combine these depending on each client's individual needs. Through counselling, many people experience changes in perspective, more satisfying relationships, increased fulfilment and a deeper sense of self-awareness. I have experience in delivering short-term, long term and open-ended therapy. I have a particular interest in relationship issues, as well as anxiety and panic.

I also have a strong interest in working with ADHD, particularly in women, and I am currently undertaking further training and CPD to deepen my knowledge in this area.

Together we can explore what brings you to therapy, and decide on the most appropriate way forward. You may wish to explore your present circumstances, your past, or both. It is my role to facilitate the process at a pace suited to you, in a comfortable and safe environment.

My training required me to undertake personal therapy, so I have experienced being a client, too. I know that finding the right type of therapy and the right practitioner may be daunting, so I would encourage you to speak with a few practitioners to find what feels like a good fit for your needs.

I offer a free 20-30 minute telephone consultation for you to explore what's prompted you to seek help, ask me any questions you might have about how I work, and to get a feel for whether I could be a good match for you.

*If sending an email enquiry, please include your phone number and I will message  you when I respond, as my email replies often land in junk folders*

My training involved a combination of theoretical learning and practical skills, as well as mandatory personal therapy, reflective processes and client work.

I have also previously held roles in mental health and mentoring. This includes supporting people who are leaving the care of secondary mental health services, enabling them to build confidence, resilience and independence,  as well as mentoring higher education students.
