About me
Hello, I’m Ross, an Integrative Counsellor. I support people who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, stress, or simply feeling lost and unsure of how to move forward.
I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for support. I have experienced my own struggles with anxiety and depression, and I know how overwhelming life can feel when you are caught up in painful thoughts and emotions. I also know that things can change. With the right support, greater understanding, and practical steps, it is possible to feel more hopeful, confident, and in control of your life.
My personal experiences played an important part in inspiring me to become a counsellor. They allow me to offer not only professional support, but also genuine empathy for the courage it can take to begin talking about what you are going through.
My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I will not judge you or tell you how you should live your life. Instead, we will work together to understand what may be contributing to how you feel and explore what could help you move forward.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches rather than believing that one method works for everyone. Our sessions will be shaped around you, your personality, your experiences, and what you would like to change.
We may explore areas such as your thoughts and emotions, relationships, work, lifestyle, past experiences, values, needs, and the patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck. Alongside developing a deeper understanding of yourself, I can also offer practical tools and strategies that you can use outside of our sessions.
Therapy does not have to feel clinical or intimidating. It can be a supportive conversation where you are given the time and space to speak openly, make sense of what is happening, and begin taking manageable steps towards feeling better.
You do not need to have everything figured out before getting in touch. We can start wherever you are and work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I currently offer online and telephone counselling sessions. I also offer a complimentary initial consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, talk briefly about what you are looking for, and decide whether I might be the right counsellor for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have several years of experience supporting hundreds of people through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, stress, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
My approach is shaped by both professional training and real-world experience. Having gone through my own mental health challenges, I understand that change is not always straightforward and that reaching out for support can take real courage.
